A word about cellulite

Cellulite is an inflammation of the connective tissue usually caused by a bacterial infection. Skin on the face or lower legs is most commonly affected by this infection, though other parts of the body can also get affected. Some people are affected through this and some not usually because of the difference in ways the skin is structured. Parts of body affected by cellulite are usually stuffed with excretable substances that did not get eliminated from the body. Double chin, thick shoulders and swollen ankles are caused by this condition.

The subcutaneous tissue is also called the collagen tissue. In cellulite, this connective tissue fills with lymph containing much waste matter, which causes it to contract. Both the Collagen fibers with their firmness and low elasticity, and the elastic fibers form a fine net between the muscle and the fat tissue of the skin and this is where most women store their flabby fat. Cures of cellulite are not miraculous but some natural methods are indeed effective.

Identifying cellulite

As described above, when suffering from cellulite there is an accumulation of loose flabby fat with fluid and toxins trapped into hardened deeper levels of the skin. Cellulite begins on the inside surface of the thighs and knees, covering up the bone projections. It quickly moves down to thicken ankles, which disappear from view. This thickening becomes more and more pronounced and soon affects the whole leg from the ankle to the knee.

Most women find lower limbs getting to store more fat and even more fat tends to get stored in the hips, thighs and buttocks where this "tufting" becomes so pronounced that it dimples. Also, the belief that only heavy or obese women suffer from cellulite is not true and fact is even some fitness models suffer from it. Women with any weight can have cellulite.

Factors causing cellulite and the treatment Cellulite is caused and aggravated by the following:

O Poor diet of low-fibre, high fat food, which tends to put great pressure on the digestive system. Toxins find it a lot difficult to be eliminated.

O Exercise and stress play important role here. Lack of former and abundance of latter causes conditions favorable to development of cellulite. Slow down blood circulation is also a culprit.

O Hereditary factor.

There are a couple ways one can apply to help combat cellulite and its negative effects, but if you're genetically prone to it in a certain area, it is unlikely you will ever be totally rid of it. Exercising the muscles and trying to burn the toxins through oxygen is one way. In fact this one aspect can sometimes be highly beneficial in cellulite.

Oxygen has the tendency to burn up the toxins and it can do that in the lungs and the muscles. Both these organs of the body work in a collaboration to purify the body of toxins. Regular exercising is a must but one should not over exert on his body. Basically your digestive system, the nervous system and the kidney system must work properly and so every care must be taken to avoid the toxic foods and alcohol.
